There are very many sources of information for beekeepers on all aspects of bees and beekeeping. Some are more authoritative than others. These are some of the sites that our members have found useful.
Lancashire & North West Beekeepers Association - Our county association's website with information about events and training at County level.
BBKA - British Beekeepers Association website with members' area. National site with information about all aspects of membership, beekeeping and bees.
NBU - National Bee Unit for all things regulatory, pests and disease tracking.
RosyBee - plants for bees - Commercial site with research and information about planting for pollinators and bees
Dave Cushman website - Encyclopaedic site with many variations on techniques, manipulations and practice, maintained and curated by Roger Patterson in memory of Dave Cushman who originally compiled it.
The Apiarist - website of David Evans an entertaining blogger and academic.
Norfolk Honey - Commercial site for Stewart Spinks, podcaster and YouTuber. Known for simple and straightforward explanations with good quality videos.
Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory - University of Florida - Jamie Ellis' institution, with research and practical advice. Note that this site is in United States so comments about pests and legalities may not apply in the UK.
